Placing the Mini terminal on the cockpit dashboard or beneath the aircraft’s canopy or ceiling window may result in degraded performance. This is due to factors such as the window material, angle of the glass, and deicing technologies (including, but not limited to, in-window heating elements). Use of the Mini behind a glareshield is considered best-effort only, and service interruptions should be expected.
Starlink cannot guarantee consistent connectivity due to circumstances beyond our control. Performance may vary significantly depending on the specific aircraft, the Mini’s positioning, the type of windscreen, and other variables. Operating the Mini near a window with limited sky visibility will result in a suboptimal field of view to the satellites.
