Only customers who received an email or in-app notification need to take action. Each message includes a Terminal Identification Number (UTID) identifying which Starlink kit(s) are affected.
No. You do not even need an active service line to complete this update. Simply plugging in your Starlink and following the instructions will allow the update to install.
You will not be charged for completing this update or for keeping your Starlink plugged in during the process.
If your email was titled “Action Required: Plug in for critical update,” follow these steps:

To find your UTID in the Starlink app, go to the home screen, scroll to the bottom, and select "Advanced." It's listed under the "Starlink" section as the Terminal ID (e.g., 407084a1-4310591b-589a45c5).
To find your UTID on the Starlink website, log in at starlink.com/account, go to the Dashboard, select your service line, and view the details under the Starlink or Terminal section. It will be listed as the User Terminal ID (e.g., 407084a1-4310591b-589a45c5).
