The Roam service plans are designed for mobile and portable use, such as camping or travel. Two service plans are available: Roam Unlimited, which has no data cap, and Roam 50GB, which includes 50 GB of data with the option to purchase additional data by the GB.
Both Roam plans include:
- Countrywide coverage, including inland waterways and marinas, is available in the country of your account.
- In-motion use is permitted at speeds up to 100 mph (160 kph), regardless of hardware.
- Once activated, you can change service plans anytime and as many times as you like via your Starlink account portal. Changes will take effect immediately or at the start of your next billing cycle, depending on the plan.
- You have the ability to pause and unpause service at any time, with billing occurring monthly.
- International travel is allowed in available markets for up to 2 months per trip.
- Coastal ocean coverage (up to 12 nautical miles off the coast) is provided by Starlink with active coverage around the world for up to 5 consecutive days at a time and a total of 60 days over the course of a one-year period.
Important notes:
- For the Roam 50GB plan, please keep in mind that 50GB is approximately equivalent to over 20 hours of high-definition video streaming or 50 hours of video calls.
- If you exceed the allotted data on the Roam 50GB plan and have not opted in for additional data, you will be unable to use the internet except to access your Starlink account, from which you can add additional data or change plans.
- Ocean use is not supported with Roam unless you have opted in for Global Priority data, which is available through the account portal.
- Roam 50GB is only available in select markets. If Roam 50GB is not offered in your country, please contact us.
Good to know:
- Roam is designed for portable, non-commercial use. Using Starlink in unauthorized regions or for more than two months abroad may lead to service restrictions. See the Terms of Service for more information.
- For customers in Japan & Mexico, in-motion use of Starlink on land is prohibited due to local regulations.
