Earlier this week we received an order from Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes that freezes Starlink’s finances and prevents Starlink from conducting financial transactions in Brazil. This order is based on an unfounded determination that Starlink should be responsible for the fines levied—unconstitutionally—against X, a company that is unaffiliated with Starlink. It was issued in secret and without affording Starlink any of the due process of law guaranteed by the Constitution of Brazil.
Although this unlawful order could impact our ability to collect your monthly payment, you do not need to take any action at this time. Starlink is committed to defending your rights protected by your Constitution and will continue providing service to you—for free if necessary—while we address this matter via legal means.
Today, Starlink is connecting more than a quarter million customers in Brazil—from the Amazon to Rio de Janeiro—including small businesses, schools, and first responders, among many others. We are proud of the impact Starlink is making in communities across the country, and the Starlink team is doing everything possible to ensure your service is not interrupted.
We will update you with more information here as it arises.

Do I need to take any action?
Will my service be cut off?
Will Starlink continue delivering orders?
What if there are issues with my payment?
Do I need to change my payment method?
You do not need to change your current saved payment information unless it is AMEX, ELO, Hiper, or Hipercard, as they are no longer supported. If you have issues with your payment and you use one of these methods, please try a different payment method.
In some countries, card companies may charge additional fees or taxes for certain transactions. Moreover, your bank may change the currency that you are charged to USD even though we charge in local currency. Starlink Brasil continues to apply the same local taxes on orders and monthly services subscriptions, based on federal and state legislation applicable in Brazil.
