You can track your monthly data usage and manage your service plan from your account page on starlink.com or in the Starlink app. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version to access the newest features.
Starlink measures data usage on a per-byte basis at the Point of Presence (PoP), providing a comprehensive and accurate account of all inbound and outbound traffic. Discrepancies with third-party routers may occur due to differences in measurement units, variations in tracking methods (e.g., network layers or protocols that influence overhead), or differing logging intervals.
For plans with Local Priority or Global Priority data, you can view your progress toward the monthly data limit and choose to automatically receive additional data once your limit is reached. Additional data is charged in 50GB blocks at the rate specific to your service plan, as detailed in Starlink’s Fair Use Policy. Any additional data purchased will appear on your next monthly invoice.
Software updates and health checks performed by the Starlink terminal do not count toward your monthly data usage. The Starlink router may use a small amount of data each month for software updates and health monitoring, and this will count toward your usage.
Important Notes:
Data tracking is recorded in UTC and may be delayed by several minutes. Refer to your statement for the most accurate information.
Third-party routers and networking devices may track usage differently. Variations can result from what types of traffic they record, how they measure usage, and the frequency of their logging.
Starlink calculates total data usage based on all bytes sent to and received from each device connected to your Starlink, including speed test data.
Starlink software updates and health checks do not count toward your monthly usage.
The Starlink router does not track per-device usage, and Starlink cannot provide data consumption by individual devices.
