To view instructions on how to activate service for a Starlink purchased from an authorized retailer or transferred from a third party, click here.
To activate your service, you have the option of picking your previous plan or choosing a new one. Please note, some service plans may not be available and service plan prices are subject to change.
Availability: The ability to reactivate Residential service after cancelling or using Standby Mode is dependent on capacity in the area. We are constantly adding capacity and working toward eliminating sold-out regions entirely. For example, there are currently no sold-out regions in the United States, meaning US-based customers can resume Residential service without delay. You can view Starlink's service availability map on starlink.com/map. If there is no capacity in your region for Residential service, there will be the option to reactivate with a Roam or Priority service plan.
You can reactivate a Roam plan at any time after canceling or using Standby Mode, except in very rare situations where Roam is temporarily restricted across an entire country due to regulatory reasons. Even then, we work to restore access as quickly as possible.
Unauthorized retailer/reseller: We are unable to activate service for a Starlink that has been purchased from an unauthorized retailer or reseller.
Country Moves: If you’re moving to a new country and want to change your account to that country, you’ll need to cancel your current service plan and set up a new account in your new country.
This process ensures that Starlink accounts and hardware are registered to the correct country of use. It also allows us to comply with local regulations and provide accurate billing and support.
